Knox Senior Safety Register

Knox Senior Safety Register (KKSR) aims to promote Safe and Confident Living for our Knox Senior Residents ensuring they stay connected to their community.

The register is a free program run by volunteers and supervised by Bridges staff.  Once on the register, participants receive a monthly phone call from volunteers who check on their welfare.  The Register contains participants emergency contact information that is held at Bridges and will only be used in the event of an emergency.

How does the Register work?

Volunteers will contact the participant on a monthly basis or as agreed to check on their welfare.

If a phone call is not answered over a number of phone calls the nominated contact person will be notified.  If we are unable to make contact Bridges will conduct a home visit to check on the persons welfare.

How to Join

Ring the Bridges office and they will send you out a registration form for you to fill out and return or click here to download it.  Once returned the KSSR worker will ring you and discuss your registration and explain how the register works.

What happens next

Your details will be entered into the KSSR confidential database which is accessed by an authorised staff member in the case of an emergency.

Bridges would like to acknowledge the generosity and support of the Knox City Council as “The Knox Senior Safety Register project has been supported by a grant from the Knox Council Community Development Fund”.
