Our History

About Us

Bridges Connecting Communities, (formerly Knox Community Volunteers), is a not-for-profit organisation that provides volunteer services to the local community to support independence and promote socialisation within our senior and disability community  who reside in their own home.

We were founded in 1975 by a visionary group of volunteers who recognised the needs of the elderly residents in the City of Knox.

Since this time, Bridges has succeeded in providing support to elderly residents and residents with a disability in the form of transport, social groups, community access and community support.  Encouraging engagement and social participation.  Being connected and valued within our community.
